Logline:

When a driven, love-wary career woman finds herself sharing a night with a charming stranger’s corpse in her living room, she’s forced to confront life’s greatest mystery—love. As the night unfolds, what begins as a surreal encounter becomes a journey of self-discovery and a revelation about the power of connection.

Writer/Director Statement:

Some-Body to Love was born from the memories that Brendan (My husband and main writer) and I hold dear—of watching classic romantic comedies with our families. Like many in our generation, we grew up on movies that could make you forget the world, even if just for a moment, and bring genuine laughter into our lives. Those stories became timeless, and sadly, we don’t see as many films like that today.

With this film, we hope to revive that heartwarming escapism while also exploring modern ideas around love and relationships. In today’s world, we often emphasize that happiness can be found within oneself, which is true. Yet, we want to remind audiences that a partnership, at its best, is a beautiful addition to that happiness. We are, after all, social creatures—and there’s something uniquely fulfilling about finding someone to share life’s moments with.
